Daily Healing Experience: Energy Testing to Use Essential Oils for Baby Rash

Yesterday I noticed my son had a little rash around his neck. From what I can remember this was his first rash (at 14 months old), aside from a little diaper rash which, as I've learned from my elders, is best treated by simply having lots of naked time and keeping the bum dry.

I was a bit concerned over these red bumps but knew it was probably just caused by sweat - due to the recent NYC spring heat/ humidity wave, drool - from a recent bout of major teething, and the remnants of food that tend to get stuck in his folds (my husband and I refer to it as his ET neck).

I decided to use an essential oil to treat it (the Young Living blend Gentle Baby - this stuff has so many great uses!), but wanted to first use Muscle (Meridian Energy) Testing to see if that was the oil his body would respond to. I used surrogate testing by placing a drop of the oil on my own hand and holding it in the energy field over babies neck / the rash. I then held out my other arm and had my husband test me. The test was strong.

I mixed a drop of the Gentle Baby essential oil with a carrier oil (I used organic cold pressed coconut oil) in my palm, and gently patted it onto his neck where the rash was. We went down for a nap, and two and half hours later... I guess he was VERY tired... the rash was about 50% better! It continued to improve that evening and the following day was 95% gone.

More uses for Gentle Baby Oil:

-Recovery from labor (great for scar tissue in carrier oil or in a sitz bath)

-Diffuse in nursery at bedtime or for calm during the day

-Rub on your hands then rub from baby's temple along ridge behind their ears or rub on bottoms of their feet for grounding and soothing

-On diaper rash (mixed with organic calendula or coconut oil)

Because of the photo-sensitivity of bergamot, which is in this blend, do not apply to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight within 48 hours.
